DEBINA E BARDHË

Debina e Bardhë is a traditional production in the southeastern regions of Albania, especially in Leskovik, Lunxhëri, Këlcyrë, Korçë, Mallakastër, Skrapar, Përmet, Tepelenë. Known as Debina in Southern Albania and in the region of Epirus in Greece, it is produced by wineries such as ZIKA – DERVENI in Bykysh, Tepelenë, BEJKO in Piskovë, Përmet, ALBANICA in Ardenicë, Lushnjë, BUKA in Gjirokastër, ISAK in Sarandë, MICI and VRESHTI I PASHAIT in Leskovik, NURELLARI and PUPA in Fushë Peshtan, Berat, among others. This high-quality table wine is characterized by a slightly dark yellow color and a light feel due to its alcohol content of 11-12%. It is a refreshing, light wine with enticing aromas. It has a comprehensive fruity aroma (apple, pear, pineapple) and a slightly bitter taste, making the wine more attractive. It can be processed and consumed as a dry wine or as a table wine. Although a white wine, Debina can age well. It pairs nicely with fish dishes, especially seafood served as an appetizer
